PARISH ENVELOPES:
Dear Parishioners,
Many people have made contact with me asking about paying their weekly envelope or parish dues.
The advice that I have given so far is to gather up the envelopes for each week and then bring them in when the time is right.
Sadly the lack of regular income to the parish is beginning to have a serious impact on our finances . Therefore the time has come now when I need to ask you to begin to consider making your contributions again. To help in this I will place a box for the envelopes on the front step of the altar every day.
Monday to Friday from 12.30pm until 1.30pm and from 5.30pm until 6.30pm. I will be present in the church during these times.
If you do not use an envelope but would still like to make a contribution to the parish, that would be a great help too. ( I will have other options to offer in terms of how to make payments later on this week coming when a few more things have been finalised ).
I appreciate that people may not want to or be able to get out because of the present restrictions. In that case, if you would keep your envelopes until everything gets back to some sort of normality it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your ongoing encouragement. Stay safe and please do join with me if you can through our Facebook page and our Web Page.
God Bless,
Fr. Colm.
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY:
Fr. Colm will lead the Divine Mercy Chaplet this Sunday at 3.00 pm from the Church and you can follow Fr. Colm as usual on the Webcam.
ACCORD:
COVID-19 has changed every aspect of family life – all of our familiar ways of living have had to be adjusted.
You may have had to self-isolate due to the virus; you may be finding it difficult to get space for yourself within the confines of the family home; you may be trying to combine working from home with efforts to provide a home-schooling environment; or it may be that the fear and stress caused by these exceptional circumstances are causing high levels of concern and anxiety. Whatever impact the spread of COVID-19 has had on the quality of your couple and family relationships – we are here to provide information and support.
As one of the largest providers of couples and relationships counselling in N. Ireland our experienced, professional, couples and relationships counsellors have made themselves available to listen to your concerns.
We have established a Relationships Support Line 048 9568 0151 offering support to those who are trying to reduce distress within their personal relationships at this time. We are also using our Facebook page Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service and to provide links to material designed to increase understanding of, and support for handling challenging couples and relationships situations.
TROCAIRE COLLECTION: The Trocaire Lenten Boxes are normally returned during Holy / Easter Week. With no church gatherings, parishioners will not be in a position to return them to the church. In the circumstances, other ways in which you can donate to Trocaire can be seen on www.trocaire.org
COVID-19 Support Line for Older People:
ALONE has launched a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.
