It is most important that people who are vulnerable or unwell, and especially those with any symptoms that might suggest Covid-19 infection, do not come out to Mass but, please, join us via our parish webcam.

SEASON OF CREATION: 1 September – 4 October 2020 Theme: Cultivating Hope
As we journey through the Season of Creation, a time set aside by Pope Francis for all of us to reflect on and accept our individual and collective responsibility to care for all of God’s creation, we pledge our commitment to the care of our common home, in prayer:
Almighty God, we praise You!
All creatures came forth from Your all-powerful hand;
they are Yours, filled with your presence and your tender love.
Son of God, Jesus, You were formed in the womb of Mary our Mother,
You became part of this earth, walked the land with Your holy feet
and gazed upon this world with human eyes.
Holy Spirit, You accompany all creation, dwell in our hearts and inspire us to do what is good.
Triune Lord, wondrous community of infinite love,
as we contemplate You in the beauty of the universe,
show us our place in this world as channels of Your love for all the creatures of this earth,
for not one of them is forgotten in your sight.
Enlighten those who possess power and money that they may avoid the sin of indifference,
that they may love the common good, advance the weak,
give for the poor and all who cry in distress and care for this world in which we live.
O Lord, seize us with Your power and light, help us to protect all life,
to prepare for a better future,
for the coming of your Kingdom of justice, peace, love and beauty.
Praise be to You! Amen.

In order to keep everyone safe, and because some of our parishioners may be a little fearful of coming into a larger crowd, The Bishops have agreed to suspend the ’Sunday’ obligation during this time. To assist people, everyone who is part of our faith community is asked to attend one Mass in the week if you feel able to do so. e.g. You may decide to attend the Monday morning Mass, or the Thursday morning Mass as your weekly commitment to your faith. Those who were in the habit of attending Mass daily, are still welcome to do so.
