MASS AND ANOINTING OF THE SICK:

MONDAY 24 JUNE, 7.00PM:
We look forward to this special occasion in the life of our parish, tomorrow evening. Please note, help will be available at the church for those who have any mobility issues and nurses will be available at the Mass, to help anyone in need.
Anointing will also be available to anyone who seeks healing of any kind in their lives at this time, physical, spiritual, psychological or emotional. For those who are able to come forward for anointing, they will be invited to come to the foot of the sanctuary. For those who have mobility issues or prefer not to come forward for any reason, that is not a problem: the priests will come to you in your seat.
This will also be an evening for remembering in prayer all who care for the sick in any capacity – at home, in their neighbourhood, in hospital, in nursing/care homes.

PARISHIONERS TAKING PART IN THE DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES, 1 – 5 JULY, PLEASE NOTE:

All pilgrims are invited to a meeting in the Everglades Hotel, Victoria Road, Derry, on Tuesday 25 June at 7.30pm. Important information will be shared at this meeting and it is intended that pilgrims’ packs and tickets will be available for distribution. If you cannot attend in person, please designate someone to represent you, if possible.
Our pilgrimage to Lourdes is drawing close and I am delighted that a number of parishioners are taking part in it, including those who will join the pilgrimage while we are in Lourdes. I very much look forward to being with you all and to helping make sure that it will be a memorable few day of pilgrimage, in this our Jubilee year.

MARY’S MEALS:

Fr Eamonn Kelly, priest of Raphoe diocese, has been in contact to say, “For the past eleven years, Walks to Knock Shrine have taken place, to raise awareness of, and raise funds for Mary’s Meals. We are now launching Step by Step to Feed the Next Child 2024. We have walks originating in many counties, north and south. All walks go from 7 August to 15 August. We are seeking people to help us create new walks, join us for a day or half day or a few hours, collect, take a sponsor card or promote the walk. It costs €22 to give a child a meal each day in school for a school year and every eleven cents raised provides a meal. If you would like more information or to get involved, I would love to hear from you. My contact details are: Eamonn Kelly (Rev), Parochial House, Convoy, Co Donegal, F93HX2R, eamonnkelly1949@gmail.com or 087 9077985.”

SUMMER HOLIDAYS!

As the school holidays begin and holiday season starts, we hope that all our school-children and young people will enjoy a happy and safe break. Thank you to our teachers and all the staff in our schools – we hope you too will enjoy a well-earned holiday.
To all who are going on holidays or are out and about this summer, please take care and please travel with attention when walking, cycling or driving. Have a lovely time, wherever you are!

PRAYER

Holy Spirit, whose guiding presence we find wherever we go,
Protect all who travel this summer and bring them safely to their journey’s end.
Protect our children and young people, surround them with Your loving care,
and help them to recognise danger.
This we ask through Christ our Lord, Amen.
