The Government has moved County Donegal COVID-19 restrictions to level 3. This has many implications for Churches:

1. Churches may only open for private prayer.

Therefore, the St. Patrick’s Church Mass schedule will be the same except it will only be on the WebCam. No one may attend any services in the Church. The Church will be remain open at all other daytime hours throughout the day for the purpose of private prayer if people wish to call in. Please use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter the church, remain alert to social distancing and obey the signs that are there for your protection.

SEASON OF CREATION: 1 September – 4 October 2020 Theme: Cultivating Hope

As we journey through the Season of Creation, a time set aside by Pope Francis for all of us to reflect on and accept our individual and collective responsibility to care for all of God’s creation, we pledge our commitment to the care of our common home, in prayer:

Almighty God, we praise You!
All creatures came forth from Your all-powerful hand;
they are Yours, filled with your presence and your tender love.
Son of God, Jesus, You were formed in the womb of Mary our Mother,
You became part of this earth, walked the land with Your holy feet
and gazed upon this world with human eyes.
Holy Spirit, You accompany all creation, dwell in our hearts and inspire us to do what is good.
Triune Lord, wondrous community of infinite love,
as we contemplate You in the beauty of the universe,
show us our place in this world as channels of Your love for all the creatures of this earth,
for not one of them is forgotten in your sight.
Enlighten those who possess power and money that they may avoid the sin of indifference,
that they may love the common good, advance the weak,
give for the poor and all who cry in distress and care for this world in which we live.
O Lord, seize us with Your power and light, help us to protect all life,
to prepare for a better future,
for the coming of your Kingdom of justice, peace, love and beauty.
Praise be to You! Amen.
