CHRISTMAS MASSES:

Although no government announcement has yet been made, it is my hope and desire that our Church will be open for public Masses at Christmas. In anticipation of this, we have to plan ahead. To this end, I am proposing to celebrate five public Christmas Masses:
Christmas Eve (24th): 6.00pm and 9.00pm Christmas Day (25th): 7.00am, 9.00am and 11.00am
As you know, the Christmas Masses normally attract large numbers. It would be lovely to see a congregation again, but the safety and protection of everyone attending Mass is paramount and, to help with this, I am introducing a ‘ticket’ system for the two days, to ensure that numbers attending will be fairly evenly spread over the five Masses. This system is not something I would like to do on a regular basis but, hopefully, it will be helpful to all of us this Christmas.
To book a ticket(s) for a particular Mass, you should ring or email Lorna at the parish office, 074 9142001: or email: clonleighparish@derrydiocese.org between 10am and 12noon, Monday – Thursday. Lorna will need to know, 1) which Mass you wish to book for, 2) the name of the person booking, 3) the number of family members being booked in, 4) contact number/email, ( Children 7 or under do not require a ticket ) In due course, arrangements will be made so that those who have booked tickets can pick them up at the church.
This system will ensure at least that we will be organised and ready for a Christmas opening. In the meantime, I ask for your prayers for the reopening of our churches and for the safety of everyone. Thank you very much for your co-operation and patience.
Fr Colm.
