It is important that all the children have the opportunity to participate in the Do This in Memory Mass.

SVP:

St Patrick’s Conference, Murlog, wish to thank you for your contributions for the first three months of 2024, amounting to €519.32; this helps the Conference to provide the level of service that it does to people in need. Helpline number, 087 4647 991, is available at all times to take calls. Please know that all calls are in the strictest confidence.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY is celebrated today, on the Octave (eighth day) of Easter, having been established by Pope John Paul II in 2000, on the day that he canonised Saint Faustina. On Divine Mercy Sunday we listen to St John’s account of the Gospel story known as “Doubting Thomas,” in which we hear of Christ’s mercy towards the humbled apostle, who did not believe until he had seen and touched. Jesus’ reaction to Thomas affirms our faith in His enduring love and mercy, despite our human weaknesses and failures. St Faustina, pray for us.

REMINDER – The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from 1 – 5 July, leaving from City of Derry Airport. The Lourdes pilgrimage office is open from 11am to 1pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. You can phone 048 71260293 or email derrypilgrim@outlook.com. I am delighted that some people from our parish have booked to go on the pilgrimage. As part of the pilgrimage, we will hold our own parish celebrations while participating in the diocesan pilgrimage in Lourdes. I will be honoured to guide and lead parishioners in making it a very special time for us as a parish in our Jubilee year. Please let me know if you are intending to participate in the pilgrimage!
